4th Annual Burnaby Firefighters Charitable Golf Tournament
With another golfing season upon us and the warm weather returning, the Burnaby Fire Fighters along with the City of Burnaby are pleased to announce that the 4th Annual Burnaby Fire Fighters Charitable Golf tournament, will take place on September 17th at the Riverway Golf Club in Burnaby. The format for this years tournament will again be a Texas Scramble (best ball), with a shotgun start of 1:30. This will be followed by dinner, prizes and the silent auction at the Fire Fighters Club.
We would like to thank you for participating in the 3rd charitable golf classic and invite you to take part again this year. With your help we raised just over $20,000 for the charities involved with tournament and have a goal to exceed that this year. We also had another hole in one winner last year who took home a boat, so we are looking to make it three years running.
The Burnaby Fire Fighters Charitable Society represents Burnaby Fire Fighters in their mission to raise money for community groups and non-profit organizations. Although we primarily support Burnaby-based charities, our Society contributes to more than 40 Lower Mainland charitable and community organizations. This includes sizeable annual donations to the Burnaby Hospital Foundation, the Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation, St Michael’s Hospice, the Food Bank, BC Special Olympics, BCPFFA Burn Fund, Dry Grad ceremonies at all Burnaby secondary schools, South Burnaby Neighborhood House, Burnaby Seniors Outreach Society, Burnaby Christmas and Camping Bureau, Pacific Assistance Dogs Society, Burnaby Family Life, the Variety Club and many, many others. Our registered charity number is 892341561RR0001. As well, a tax receipt can be issued for a portion of your sponsorship or entry fees.
